Designing a Wedding Invitation Suite

CHALLENGE

How could my partner and I use stationery to communicate that our wedding celebration was intended to feel meaningful and not-too-serious?

Save the date

After selecting our venue I used the building’s aesthetic as inspiration, choosing geometric shape motifs and earthy colors inspired by the space’s construction date, sitting on the cusp between Art Deco and Art Nouveau.

Invitation

Reflecting on the geometry of the Save the Dates, I realized a more appropriate motif for my partner and I would be to use amorphous blobs. Our event was intended to be more organic than rigid, meaning our visuals needed to reflect that tone but still tie in with the Save the Dates.
